“Digitalisation in Small Business: How Digitalisation can Transform your Business Processes”
I look forward to speaking at the Tech Connect event on the Sales, Digital Marketing Stage on 14th September where I’ll be drawing on years of experience working with SMEs on Digitalisation, sharing learnings on how SMEs can begin the Digital Transformation journey. I’ll also share some examples of real case studies on how Irish SMEs have improved their business workflows through digitalisation. I will also present the recent research findings I was involved in on the Enablers and inhibitors to Digital transformation in Micro Business and discuss the Digital Transformer Archetypes.

It was great to be involved in Enterprise Week with lots of events taking place. In Cork on March 9th, I spoke about the benefits of digitalisation for food manufacturers. The topics covered included:

-Enablers and inhibitors of digital transformation in Micro Business
-Guide you through local success stories
-Q&A with businesses who have been on this journeyI was delighted to join the panel of speakers on 7th March in Shannon to discuss the Digital Start program and the impact it’s had on small and micro businesses. We took at look at some of the success stories from this initiative and shared information on the programme.
This event which kicked off Enterprise Week focused on making working life easier by looking at best practice in Lean methodologies and Digital Innovations to help simplify and streamline businesses to ensure smooth operational success.

Reboot is a co-operative collaboration designed to assist the recovery of rural businesses and social enterprises in the aftermath of the Covid19 pandemic and Brexit economic disruption. Reboot provides a programme of FREE tailored training, skills development, expert 1:1s and networking opportunities in Mayo, Roscommon and Sligo.
During this in-person live event, I spoke to the group about how to transform CX/streamline their business using digitalisation along with expert speakers Ailish Irvine and Mark Loftus the Founder of PaddyBox. Joan Mulvihill from Siemens Ireland MC’d and moderated the panel discussion.
As a member of our research team, I was delighted to attend the University Industry Innovation Network (UIIN) conference in Amsterdam in June and present our paper on Digitalisation In Irish Micro Businesses. We were honoured to have been chosen as runners up in the Outstanding Research category.
Thanks to Anuragini Shirish and Anaya Kumar, for providing me with the opportunity to represent our team. I congratulate the University Industry Innovation Network (UIIN) team on putting on a fantastic, well organized conference with many inspiring presentations. A variety of topics were presented by participants from all over the world, and it was great to meet such a diverse group of individuals. Thanks to Meath County Council and Momentum Educate + Innovate again for their support to the Spanning Boundaries Project.
I was delighted to head back to Amsterdam to present our research into Digitalisation in Irish Micro Business. Special thanks to lead researcher Anuragini as well as fellow researcher Anaya and thanks also to the Local Enterprise Offices clients and representatives, fellow mentors as well as Enterprise Ireland representatives that participated in this important research.
Free Information Event for Longford based business owners.
It was great to attend this in-person information event for Longford Chamber on June 22nd, 6.30pm at Longford Rugby Club providing tips and tricks on the topic of digitalisation.
It was great to speak about digitalisation for small and micro businesses and how it can help SMEs improve their workflows, converting from paper based or manual systems to more efficient simplified digital processes recently at the Connected Hubs in Edgeworthstown, Longford.
Delighted to speak at this Local Enterprise Office seminar held on 14th July 2022 to discuss digitisation in businesses and to introduce the Local Enterprise Office Digital Start Voucher.
TechConnect Live is Ireland’s largest annual business and technology exhibition for Micro, SME and Enterprise level companies. The event, which is supported by Ibec and the Small Firms Association (SFA) creates a marketplace for a wide range of SMEs experiencing rapid growth.
